Umeh expresses concerns over treatment of Igbos in Lagos

Chief Victor Umeh, the Senator representing the Anambra Central Senatorial Zone, has expressed concern over the unfair treatment given to the Igbos in some parts of Nigeria, especially in Lagos.

In a press statement during the “Oganiru Umunri’ cultural meeting at EnuguAgidi, Chief Umeh warned that nobody should provoke the Igbos in any part of the country.

According to the Senator, any person or group doing it is drawing anarchy to Nigeria.

He described the Igbos as peace-loving, dynamic people who develop anywhere they settle to do their businesses.

The lawmaker further described the Igbos as aborigines in Nigeria and promoters of national integration.

Chief Umeh, who bagged the chieftaincy title of “Ana- are- agu’ of EnuguAgidi, commended the organizers of the” Oganiru Umunri’ for assembling the Umunri people to promote collaborative relationships through the forum.

On his part, a titled man from EnuguAgidi, pastor Kingsley Onuorah who was also decorated with a chieftaincy title during the event, expects the upcoming generation to work hard to improve the society where they reside.(MOI)
