The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has reportedly suspended its presidential campaign over the protracted feud between the party’s presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike.

Sources said the party suspended the campaign in a last effort to bring Wike and his allies, including governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo; Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia; Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu and Samuel Ortom of Benue, on board.

The sources said Kebbi and Zamfara campaigns have been suspended indefinitely.

Wike and other pulled out of the party’s campaign council over the refusal of the national chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu to resign after the emergence of Atiku as the party’s presidential candidate.
