The Majority Leader of the State House of Assembly, Mr Tim Owhefere has died from covid-19 complications.
The lawmaker died at the federal medical centre after days of receiving treatment from the dreaded virus.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa expressed shock and sadness over the sudden demise of the 4-time lawmaker.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Olisa Ifeajika in Asaba, Governor Okowa described Owhefere as a committed, hardworking and patriotic lawmaker that served the state and his constituents diligently.
“As we mourn his death, we pray that Almighty God will give his family, Akiewhe-Owhe community, friends, constituents and associates the fortitude to bear this painful loss,” Governor Okowa said.
