Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has slammed chieftains of the Peoples Democratic Party, accusing him of playing anti-party politics.
The national leadership of the party suspended some chieftains of the party last week after accusing them of playing anti-party politics.
But Wike said that anti-party by the leadership of the party begets anti-party nationwide/
Speaking during the state’s gubernatorial campaign in Etche on Monday, Wike said some chieftains of the party in Abuja wrote the party’s legal adviser to withdraw from the suits the state chapter had instituted against the All Progressives Congress, APC and the Social Democratic Party, SDP.
The governor, however, vowed to hit back at the party, saying anyone from the party’s leadership that dares to suspend him will also be affected.
“Anybody who dares touch us in Rivers State, I will give him plenty of injuries on the body. When you have told us that you are doing anti-party, we will show you what anti-party is.
“They started the anti-party. It has been in their blood. Now, they have shown their hands. They should watch, from tomorrow, what will happen to them”
