Anambra guber: Soludo visits Ibeto, Innoson, seeks support of Nnewi business community

Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, the November 6 Anambra gubernatorial election aspirant under the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA, has sought the support of the Nnewi business community.

This is as he was received by billionaire industrialists, Chief Cletus Ibeto, Chairman Ibeto Group of Companies and Chief Innocent Chukwuma, Chairman/CEO Innosons Motors.

Speaking at the event, Soludo stated that Nnewi has been very pivotal to the prosperity of Igboland with the likes of Sir Louis Odumegwu Ojukwu and other greats emerging from the great town.

According to him, years back, the historical town of Nnewi has been projected as the emerging Japan of Africa adding that the Nnewi spirit which is the Igbo spirit had remained resilient over the years, deferring every obstacles in building the Nnewi Industrial hub in Anambra State.

He said that his dream of a prosperous homeland for Anambra state has actually commenced in Nnewi with the vast presence of Industries in the town.

“We will resuscitate our domestic capital in order to attract more foreign capital inflow into Anambra state in our dream to building a great livable homeland for our people” Soludo assured.

He promised that if voted in as governor, he will make “Anambra State First” in every government engagements, adding that he will equally be the chief marketing officer in promoting made in Anambra state.

He said he will patronise the Innosons brand of cars if he is elected governor of the state to boost economic growth of the land.

Speaking further, he described the two business giants as representing the ‘never die’ Nnewi spirit that ‘refuses to give excuses for failure ‘but always determined to overcome the odds for success

Ibeto in his remarks said Soludo is “somebody that God has been preparing for the people to come and save Anambra state”.

He revealed that for the past 8 years, himself and Soludo have been discussing on how to develop Anambra State.

He commended Soludo for his economic mantra of “Anambra Product First” saying it will attract more Indigenous businessmen to come to Anambra State to set up industries to boost the economy of the state.

“You are the Nnewi Agenda, We endorse you fully because we have absolute confidence in your abilities. We will come out en mass to support you” he said.

Chief Innocent Chukwuma in his speech said though he is not a politician, he however believes in the ability of Soludo to perform.

He described Soludo as a man of quality who is coming to improve on the lives of the people of Anambra.
