A 400-level mathematics student of the Federal University, Dutse (FUD) in Jigawa state, on Monday committed suicide over his girlfriend.
The deceased identified as Abdullahi Bashir was declared at the Rasheed Shekoni Specialist Hospital in Dutse after he ingested a popular insecticide, Sniper.

Bashir, a resident of Yalwawa quarters of Dutse, killed himself due to his cheating girlfriend, identified as Rafi’atu, having affairs on Valentine’s day.
It was gathered that Abdulkareem Sabo, vice-chancellor of the institution ordered an investigation into the incident.
