1. There is probably more on Abba Kyari that are still sealed and will be unsealed after they take him to the United States. If a policeman has acted for an internet scammer to further his crime, its probably likely he has also acted for other internet cammers. Internet Scam money infects and when it does, you get addicted to it because of how easy it comes. This is how it comes, “boom $20,000”, “Boom $50,000”, “Boom $17,000”. Before motivational speakers and ponzi scheme mmm will convince 50 people, you already have collected $100,000. The FBI may believe with Abba Kyari they can burst a majority of Nigeria’s fraudsters ring.

2. Another reason, which is the most important reason, is that the FBI is not the police. They do not prosecute minor crimes and its not their job to make sure every single crime is solved or every single criminal is prosecuted. Their job rather is to prevent crime on a large scale. Now ask yourself, how best can you prevent internet crime than by arresting Nigerian’s biggest and most decorated police officer? A strategy of the FBI has always been to go for BIG FISH that will shake the foundation of the crime world and put fear in them.

Abba Kyari is the architect of his own downfall. His celebrity status is what brought this to him. And the only reason he took the celebrity route was to make sure everyone knows him so when he presents himself to your house or occasion as a friend or in pursuit, you give him the maximum Kola out of fear. If he had no facebook account, if he did not go about with cameras and document the burning of people’s homes, when the FBI saw his name, they would just regard it one of those corrupt Nigerian policemen. But a simple google of his name showed him as a big fish and the FBI loves some BIG FISH. Nothing is more appetizing to the FBI than a BIG FISH. It makes their job easier.

In the end, Nigeria may refuse to repatriate Abba Kyari and decide to charge him here; but no matter the outcome, this is the end of Abba Kyari the tailor as we know him.
