Umahi is also aspiring, we’ll meet in the bedroom and agree on who to support – Uzodimma tells Amaechi

Hope Uzodimma, the governor of Imo State has said that President Muhammadu Buhari will not disappoint Ndigbo come 2023.

Uzodimma said that whether the Igbos are in South East, South South or South West, Buhari will not disappoint them.

He stated this when the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi met with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Imo State.

Uzodimma said that the APC in the South East was expanding, adding that the party currently has two governors in the region.

He said “As you are aware, our second governor (Dave Umahi of Ebonyi State) is also aspiring. It is a contest between brothers. We will meet in the bedroom and agree on who to support.

In his remarks, Amaechi said that he is not only an Igbo man but a young man. He added that in 2023, Nigeria does not need a president who will govern from the hospital.

On security, he said that when he became governor in 2007, he faced serious security issues but was able to deal with it, stressing that if he becomes president in 2023, security will be top of his agenda.
