Ifeanyi Ubah, Senator representing Anambra South in the national assembly and gubernatorial candidate of the Young Peoples Party for the November 6 Anambra gubernatorial election says he will visit 50 hospitals and orphanage homes in commemoration of his 50th year birthday.
He said: “At 50, I am grateful to God for my beloved wife and wonderful children. I couldn’t be more grateful to walk the journey of life with a family as loving and endearing as mine. Life in its entirety would be void and colorless without them because they constitute beautiful, ineffaceable memories and solid pillars of support that nudge me on regardless of the magnitude of challenges that life brings along.
“I want to thank my friends, associates and well wishers who wholeheartedly respected my decision to drop their plans for an ostentatious and elaborate birthday celebration and allow me to spend today in peace and solitude with the less privileged and downtrodden. The love and solidarity extended to me has been overwhelming. I am truly grateful to each person who has called, sent messages or letters, paid visits and conveyed other gestures of goodwill. Words will never be enough to express my appreciation!
“Birthdays present us with an opportunity to appraise how far we have come in a world that grows even more turbulent and fickle by the day. Beyond that, it also affords us a period of introspection into where we want to be. Introspection not only on my personal journey through life but also the larger issues that define our collective sojourn on earth. Ultimately, it should be a day to reflect on one’s purpose of existence in life which is to serve humanity.
“What 50 brings to me is a state of reflection. As I reflect on the future that lies ahead from here on; today, I re-dedicate and commit my life to the service of humanity. In my usual tradition of giving back to humanity, I have dedicated my 50th birthday anniversary to the visitation of over 50 hospitals and orphanage homes across Anambra State. The target is to touch over 1000 physically impaired, downtrodden and less privileged lives positively.
“This outreach will stretch till November 2, 2021 after-which I will hold a mass on November 3, 2021 to dedicate the Nnewi Cathedral and my Stadium as well as other entrepreneurial establishments aimed at boosting job creation in Anambra State.
“It is therefore pertinent to state that my 50th birthday anniversary would be devoid of any elaborate celebration. I am therefore requesting for a very quiet, reflective and prayerful anniversary, bereft of fanfare.
