The branch manager of United Bank of Africa, UBA in Umuaka, Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State, Adaeze Aham Nwogu has been abducted by unknown gunmen.
Nwogu was abducted on Wednesday evening around 5pm on her way home from work by the unknown gunmen.
A member of the bank’s security team who pleaded anonymity said the bank has failed to provide extra security to its staff in rural areas following the heightening security challenges in the state.
When contacted on the incident, Mike Abattam, the public relations officer of the Imo State police command said he could not comment on the development.
