Ohanaeze warns against fraudulent empowerment program

A chieftain of Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has been abducted by terrorists in Kaduna State.

Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central Senator, identified one of those kidnapped by bandits in Anguwan Gimbiya area of the state on Friday as Eze Fred Awagu Odum Igbo 1.

Sani in a a tweet said the terrorists operated freely for hours.

“Eze Fred Awagu Odum Igbo 1 an Ohaneze chieftain in Kaduna state is one of the several persons kidnapped yesterday at Anguwan Gimbiya in the Outskirts of Kaduna City,” Sani twitted.

“The bandits operated freely for hours. This is the tragedy of our times.”

Gunmen had on Friday attacked the Anguwan Gimbiya community in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State

The gunmen were said to have killed at least two residents.

It was gathered that the incident which occurred on Friday morning, also led to the abduction of about 50 persons in the community.
