Ifeanyi Eduogu, a member of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Aguata Local Government Area has decried the absence of political structures on the part of the former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, saying he is not on ground at home.
Eduogu made the pronouncement when playing host to Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah was in the Area.
According to Eduogu: “I have no choice; my people are demanding that the time has come to vote for an individual with the requisite track record of performance as opposed to party.
“They are unequivocal in their demand that we back you.”
On Soludo, he said: “I watched with amusement earlier today where two of your brothers were struggling to resuscitate the dying governorship ambition of our son who unfortunately is not on the ground here in Aguata and what came to my mind was the biblical phrase about a man of God and his home town.
“As a major APGA stakeholder, I knew the force that you deployed here in the Aguata and the massive votes that were delivered to you.
“What then happens now that I have decided to also key in,” Chief Eduogu added.
Eduogu opined that time has come for Ndi Anambra to elect their own governor without interference from political godfathers.
He added that Sen Ubah has all the necessary experience, expertise, vision and ideas that will raise the state to greater heights In all sectors of the state’s economy.
