There was commotion in Obinze, Owerri West LGA of Imo State, yesterday as rainstorm hit the area, leaving three people dead and buildings destroyed.
It was gathered that strong winds had hit the area, causing the destruction of two church buildings, a brewery depot, uprooted about 35 electricity poles and left about 3 persons dead.
A village source disclosed that the incident which happened along the Obinze-Umuokanne road left no fewer than twelve persons wounded and three lives lost.
Residents of the area also disclosed that, the winds had left them frightened, adding that the aftermath was a huge loss.
