Dr. Chike Akunyili, the husband of late Prof. Dora Akunyili, has been murdered by gunmen in Anambra.
The surgeon was shot dead by assailants at Eke Nkpor, Idemili North LGA on Tuesday evening.
He was in the state to receive an award on behalf of his late wife by the University of Nigeria Nsukka Alumni Association (UNAA) before he was killed.
No less than 8 persons were killed in the state on Tuesday in what seemed like a coordinated attacks.
