Governors of the South-East Region and security chiefs from the states on Sunday held a meeting in Owerri, the Imo State capital over the security situation in the zone.
Those present at the meeting include Dave Umahi of Ebonyi; Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu; Willy Obiano of Anambra; Hope Uzodinma of Imo and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia.
Others present at the meeting are Professor George Obiozor, President-General of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo and security chiefs from the states.
The meet comes on the heels of attacks by gunmen on security agents in the zone.
