The zonal public hearing on constitution review scheduled to hold in Owerri, Imo state capital, has been postponed indefinitely by the House of Representatives.

Deputy Speaker of the House, Idris Wase, who is also the chairman of the house special committee on constitution review, announced this in a statement on Sunday.

The hearing was billed to cover Imo and Abia states but Owerri section has been postponed over lingering insecurity in the state.

He said: “The house of representatives special committee on constitution review zonal public hearing scheduled to take place in Owerri, has been suspended until further notice.”
