Willie Obiano, the Anambra State Governor, has declared a curfew on two communities after a communal clash resulted in the death of three persons on Sunday.

While three houses were burnt, about nine persons, including a former Chief Judge in the state, were injured in the clash.

The Secretary to the State Government, Prof Solo Chukwulobelu, said the development was with immediate effect.

While stating that the curfew would run from 7 pm to 6 am until further notice, Obiano warned that security personnel were on strict orders to enforce the curfew.
