There was commotion on Monday at the Grace Court Hotel located in Abakiliki, the capital of Ebonyi State as the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA sealed the hotel and chased away tens of customers who had lodged there.
The hotel belonging to the former governor of the state, Sam Egwu was sealed by the NDLEA following the alleged discovery of hard drugs within the premises.

According to sources, scores of NDLEA officers were seen standing in front of the hotel, blocking any entrance into the facility.
The news which quickly spread around the state capital, was allegedly by some residents to be a political witch hunt by the governor of the State, Dave Umahi.
Egwu, the current Senator representing Ebonyi North Senatorial Zone could not be reached for comments as at the time of filing this report.
