The Imo State Government says news making the rounds that movement has been restricted for Thursday’s visit of President Muhammadu Buhari is false.
The state government in a statement by Declan Emolumba, the commissioner for information advised the general public to go about their normal business.
He said: “This is to inform the General public that there will be normal movements and work on the Thursday 9th September 2021 as It has come to the notice of the Imo State Government of a Fake News that there will be no movement on Thursday 9th of September, 2021.
“The general public is hereby enjoined to go about their normal and legal business. Imo State Government has not on any platform announced any holiday or sit-at-home.
“We also advise the online miscreants to desist from impersonating the State Government and misinforming the good people of Imo State as the visit of the president, Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) is for the good of Ndi Imo and the entire Southeast”.
