Mbaka: Catholic Church wanted to keep incommunicado for 30 days, send me to Rome

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu, Nigeria has described the cancellation of the Monday’s sit-at-home by the Indigenous People of Biafra, as welcome development.

Mbaka said the sit-at-home was becoming a problem instead of a solution.

Speaking during a homily on Sunday, Mbaka warned the Federal Government against any act that will endanger the life of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the IPOB leader.

He said the country will be a big problem if anything happens to Kanu adding that Kanu is fighting for the South East and not for himself.

“The situation is better imagined should he die in custody of the Department of State Services,” Mbaka said.

“I commend IPOB for calling off its Monday sit-at-home protest because the danger of the order is becoming a problem instead of a solution.

“The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, is expressing his empathy with the people of the South-East over what they are passing through. He will not wish that suffering to continue. Therefore, nobody should stop anybody from going to his or her business any Monday.

“All of us should keep praying for his release and work towards his freedom because if he dies inside that place, it will cause more trouble. If he comes out, he will come out as a hero.”
