The former National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party, Olisa Metuh (Akajiugo) has pledged his support to South East National Assembly Caucus over their plans to initiate a political solution to the arrest of the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
Metuh stated this while addressing members of the Nnewi North chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party during the opening ceremony of it’s newly furnished party office built by him.
He said: “I, Chief Olisa Metuh is here to give my 100% support to the South East National Assembly Caucus on it’s initiatives to provide a political solution to the arrest of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and the situations that constitutes unrest in South East Nigeria.
“I call on the South East governors forum to join in providing political solutions to the plight of ndi Igbo so as to ensure a peaceful zone for our people.
“Nnamdi Kanu is an Igbo man and our son. He has not stolen before nor has he killed anyone before and hence we must stand for him as our son”.
Metuh said Igbo Youths must understand that for Ndi Igbo to have achieved what we achieved in South East today, it was totally through personal hard work and contributions of individuals and not through government or it’s policies.
He cautioned against the destruction of the wealth of the region and against the incessant sit at home orders that is crippling the region’s economy and local enterprises.
“I have noticed that our Youths in Nnewi, Anambra and Nigeria in general today plays a lot of politics with bitterness and acrimony. Politics is only a game of being smart. Politics is a game of when you lose, you wait for your turn to win and that we must understand as a people.
“My final prayer is that the PDP will achieve success in this November 6th Governorship Election in Anambra State.
“I am a loyal party man and I am ever loyal to the leadership of the party and that of the PDP Nnewi North campaign council and executives, I am ready to support physically and financially too for the party to achieve victory in our local government,” he said.
