Tragedy struck in Oru Ibelle Umuaka, Njaba Local Government Area of Imo State on Friday as a man identified as Anaele Uzohuo stabbed his blood brother, Chikwado Precious Uzohuo to death.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Friday evening following a minor misunderstanding between the duo.
Anaele, eyewitnesses said, had deserted the community and is hiding at an unknown location.
The older sister of the brothers, Adam Uzoma (nee Uzohuo) said that the two brothers have been in a running battle over some family property.
According to her, since Anaele returned from his base in the North after his business collapsed, he had been making trouble with the deceased.
She further stated that she has continually intervened whenever the duo have a serious face-off in the house but never believed that Anaele would stab his blood brother to death.
She said that the body had been deposited in the mortuary while the incident had been reported to the police.
When contacted, Mike Abattam, spokesman of the Imo State Police Command said operatives of the command have launched a manhunt for Anaele, adding that an investigation has been launched into the matter.
