Wike spreading covid-19 in Rivers State, 10 commissioners tested positive - APC

Rivers State Government on Tuesday directed civil servants on salary scale of 01 to 13 to stay at home over increase in the number of COVID 19 cases.

A statement by Rufus Godwins, the head of service said Governor Nyesom Wike directed that all civil servants on the said salary scale stay at home except those on essential duty.

“While officers from Grade levels 14 and above, should be on duty and assume full responsibilities for their offices till further notice.

“Accordingly, all Permanent Secretaries and Heads of extra ministerial offices should ensure compliance with this directive and observe strictly all COVID19 protocols” .

He said the directive which takes effect from Wednesday 20th January 2021, shall remain in force until the Governor directs otherwise, please.
