Dr Nkem Okeke, the deputy governor of Anambra State has dumped the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA and defected to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Okeke joined the APC on Friday, a close aide told Standardobservers.
According to the aide, the formal announcement will be made on Thursday.
It will be recalled that neither Willy Obiano, the state governor nor his deputy attended the South East Governors forum meeting in Enugu on Tuesday.
While Obiano reportedly sent his deputy to represent him at the meeting, he instead, flew to Lagos for other businesses.
