Air peace takes delivery of new Embraer jet for domestic, international operations in $2.2bn deal

West Africa’s biggest airline, Air Peace has deployed planes to evacuate Nigerians stranded in Europe due to the Russia-Ukraine war.

Recall that thousands of Nigerians, especially students in Ukraine are currently stranded in many European countries.

Air Peace in terse statement on its Facebook page said “We’ve deployed our aircraft to evacuate Nigerians who are stranded in Europe as a result of the invasion of Ukraine by Russia.

“This is the first batch of Nigerians to be evacuated since the war broke out. The aircraft departed Nigeria at 2:20am today, Thursday, March 3, 2022, for Warsaw, Poland”.
