Just In: 60 persons burnt to death in Imo Agip pipeline fire

Over 60 persons have been burnt to death in an overnight fire in Ohaji/Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State.

This follows an explosion NAOC pipeline along Aniaezi/Okwizi in Abacheke Community in Egbema.

It was gathered that the explosion was caused by the illegal refining of crude oil popularly known as Kpo fire.

A community leader, Ugochukwu Nwojei told StandardObservers that 60 dead bodies have been counted so far.

He, however, explained that over a hundred and fifteen persons are estimated to have been burnt to death from the explosion.
