An Igbo organization known as IGBO HERITAGE FOUNDATION (IHF) with a core mandate of championing and celebrating Igbo heritage will set up a scholarly award at the University of Nigeria Nsukka in honour of legendary folklorist, gentleman Mike Ejeagha.
The award is to immortalize the nonagenarian while he yet draws breath. Ejeagha will clock 91 next month and plans are in top gear to give him the type of honour that he deserves.

Possible winners of the award will be encouraged to write their Project in the Igbo music genre, especially Igbo folklore which will enrich part of the objectives of IHF in setting up this scholarly Award.
Charles Ogbu, the coordinator of Ejeagha at 91 who disclosed this said the Award will take effect from this Session.
He added that Mike Ejeagha or any of his relations will be present at the Convocation/award ceremony to hand over the Award.
