Eyewitnesses have narrated how the Chairman of Udala Football Club, Philip Udala was assassinated by unknown gunmen.
Udala’s convoy was attacked by the assassins at the Eke-Agu axis of Abatete in Idemili North of Anambra State on Tuesday.
According to the eyewitnesses, the assassins shot the billionaire severally but the bullets didn’t penetrate.
“They then used machetes on him and pushed him inside his lexus jeep and set it ablaze”.
According to them, the billionaire struggled to come out of the car but couldn’t, but ended up falling off by the car’s door and was burnt beyond recognition.
“Only his necklace and his wristwatch were found there, showing he was the one.
“The assassins killed Peter, his driver, Godsent his Team Manager. They also killed his security personnel from Nsugbe identified as Paul. Three of his police escorts were also killed”
It was gathered that Udala returned from a day before he was killed.
Sources said that he recently wedded his new wife and she is pregnant.
