Unknown gunmen have invaded the home of the lawmaker representing Orsu State Constituency in the Imo State House of Assembly, Ekene Nnodumele, burning down the house and beheading his gateman.
The incident occurred on Wednesday morning, causing panic in the community.
It was also gathered that the gunmen also burnt down the house of the immediate past Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Cyprian Charles Akaolisa, in the community.
Nnodumele’s aide, Mr. A. Nwadikwa, while confirming the development, said the hoodlums fired gunshots in the area for hours before, during and after the houses and the killing took place.
“There was heavy gunfire there orchestrated by the gunmen last night,” Nwadikwa said.
