At least three policemen were Thursday, killed by unknown gunmen, while their operational vehicle was also burnt.
The incident occurred at Neni junction, Anaocha local government area of the state.
This follows another attack on a navy checkpoint at Akwuzu junction, Oyi local government where three naval officers on duty were killed while their weapons were carted away.

Residents of the Awkuzu expressed fear that the navy may return to carry out a scotch-earth raid on the area.
The public relations officer of the Anambra State Police Command, Ikenga Tochi did not immediately respond to enquiries for comment.
