The Ohafia Local Government Area has promised to offset the hospital bill of man shot by the army during the last siege on the LGA by the army.
Okorafor Ukiwe, the council chairman disclosed this during a visit to Mr. Chukwuemeka Uduma Agwu who was hit by a stray bullet last weekend at Ebem Ohafia.
Recall that soldiers launched an onslaught on communities in the LGA following an attack on troops by hoodlums.
Ukiwe who visited the victim at the federal medical center, Umuahia, described the situation as unfortunate,
He further maintained that as a medical doctor, he understands the gravity of the injury sustained by the victim and promised to do everything to get him back on his feet.
The chairman made a cash donation to the victim and promised to take care of the remaining medical expenses till he fully recovers.
