Chukwuma Soludo, a former Governor of Nigeria’s Central Bank, and Chairman of Anambra Vision 2070 Committee, on Thursday, officially declared his intentions to contest the November 6th Anambra Gubernatorial election.
Professor Soludo who said that he is optimistic of a free and fair process under the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA , declaration his intentions at the APGA state party headquarters in Awka.
He stated this in the presence of the party leadership in Anambra state, led by the state Chairman, Sir. Norbert Obi.
Professor Soludo earlier held a meeting with various support groups druming his message at the Campaign office in Awka.
Others who accompanied Professor Soludo to the party house include the member representing Anambra East and West federal constituency, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, former member representing Idemili North and South Federal Constituency, Senator Ifeanyichukwu Ibezi, member representing Anaocha, Njikoka and Dunukofia federal constituency, Chief Dozie Nwankwo.
Others are the Deputy Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly, Dr. Paschal Agbodike and other Assembly members, former Deputy Governor of the state, Dr. Emeka Sibudu, some members of the State Exco, the Director General of Inter-Party Office, Anambra state and Chieftain of APGA, Chief Ben Obi.
The rest include the wife of late Dr. Alex Ekwueme, Chief Mrs Ifeoma Ekwueme, Transition Committee Chairmen, among others.
