Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC at the weekend opened fire at popular eateries in Enugu Town, arresting a good number of customers.
The operatives raided the Independent Layout outlet of popular eatery, Ntachi Osa, arresting no less than 20 young men they alleged were into Internet fraud.
At the Rangers avenue of another popular eatery, Crunchies, the operatives opened fire causing huge scare in the area before making away with unspecified number of boys.
The operatives also moved to Chitis, another popular eatery in town where scores of young men were arrested.
The raid followed similar raids on a hotel on Thursday night where leaders of Igbo Youths stakeholders were arrested and detained overnight.
There have been condemnation of the recent moves by the operatives of the commission, as businesses say such raids are detrimental to their businesses, kill patronages, especially as the country is going through its biggest financial crisis.
