EFCC invade venue of Igbo Youths Stakeholders meeting, abduct over 40 persons

Operatives of the Economic and Finacial Crimes Commission, EFCC have invaded the venue of the meeting of all South East Youths Stakeholders meeting, abducting over forty persons.

Eyewitnesses said the Youth Stakeholders of the South East region comprising of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, NYCN, National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS and Ohaneze Ndigbo Youth Wing were having an Emergency Youth Stakeholders Meeting at Oma Hall, Castle Majestic Hotel, Enugu, around 9pm on 16th on Thursday, when EFCC operatives invaded the venue, beat them up and made away with some of the Leaders from various states who converged in Enugu for the aforementioned meeting.

The eyewitnesses said one of the Leaders who triples as the State Secretary of NYCN, Deputy Coordinator NANS ZoneB, and also a Technical Assistant to the Governor of Enugu State and DG Gburus Care Initiative, Comrade Darlington⁩ Ugwuegbe and others, are nowhere to be found

The sources said NYCN Enugu Chairman, Comrade Bartholomew Ebuka Okoh and his Deputy, Comrade Adaeze Anita Obieze Isamade are also no where to be found.

The eyewitnesses described the raid as a big insult to Enugu Youths and Students.

They called on all Nigerian Students and Youths to join us them on Friday morning by 9am for a Peacefully protest to #EFCC Office Enugu to demand the immediate and unconditional release of all Enugu #Youths and Students under thier unlawful detention.
