Operatives of the Department of State Security, DSS has dead Chinenye Opah, a baker during a raid on Ologo Street in the Coal Camp area of Enugu.
Opah, a native Of Mgbowo, in Awgu Local Government Area of Enugu State, was said to have been shot several times by the DSS operatives at close range on Friday.
It was gathered that the DSS team stormed the area in Gestapo style and began shooting sporadically.
Sources said the shooting sparked confusion as people began running for their lives, adding that Opah was unfortunately hit several times by bullets.
Punch quoted a family source as saying that Chinenye had three bullet holes around her upper region, showing that the operatives clearly targeted to kill her.
The family source, who said they had reported the incident to the Ekirike Police Station, disclosed that their daughter’s body had been deposited at Eastern Nigeria Medical Center Enugu.
Efforts to get the reaction of the State Police Command were not successful as the Command’s spokesman Daniel Ndukwe, did not take his calls as the phone rang out.
