The immediate past governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha has been detained by the police in Imo over the sealing of Royal Palm Estate by the Imo State government.
The State Government sealed the multi billion property days ago. However, Senator Rochas Okorocha stormed Owerri from Abuja and personally led his men to unseal the estate.
Rochas while unsealing the estate warned the governor to keep off or be ready for battle.
Gov Uzodimma sealed the estate alleging that it was built on the state’s green verge and said all the buildings will be demolished.
It was gathered that upon arrival of Okorocha to unseal the Royal Palm estate, the state govt mobilised their agents led by one of his SAs to chase Okorocha out of the estate.
This led to sporadic gun shuts and tear gas at the Royal Palm estate.
But a source said Rochas vehicles were shattered with machete and bottles.
His security aide was injured while a source alleged that Okorocha was hit with a stray bullet and was said to have been arrested by the Police.
