Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, says the Federal Government will lift the ban on Twitter in a few days time.

He stated this on Wednesday while briefing newsmen at the end of the week’s virtual Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN).

The Minister said the matters still to be decided include Twitter setting up an office in Nigeria and having a staff member of the management cadre who will serve as the country representative.

He said although Twitter has agreed to set up a Nigerian office, the microblogging platform says the earliest this can be done is in 2022.
