A police station located at Umuelemai in Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State has been burnt down by unknown gunmen.
The gunmen who attacked the police station overpowered police officers at the station and freed some suspects in detention.
They also invaded the divisional headquarters armoury and carted away arms.
This is the fourth time a police station is being burnt down by gunmen in the state in the last one month.
It was not immediately clear if any life was lost during the attack.
