APC fixes date for Anambra primary as Ogun governor chairs team

Party chieftain asks court to nullify dissolution of APC executive structure in Ebonyi

The All Progressives Congress has fixed a date for its primary for the November 6 Anambra gubernatorial election.

John Akpan Udoedehe, the National Secretary confirmed that the primary election will be held June 26th, 2021.

The statement said that Yobe state governor and National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), Governor Mai Mala Buni also approved the composition of a seven-man team for the Anambra State Governorship Election.

Buni appointed his Ogun counterpart, Dapo Abiodun as the chairman and Sen. John Enoh as the secretary.

The members are Uba Maigari Ahmadu, Goodluck Opiah, Cathleen Oby Nwoforn, Shitu Muhammed and Sylvester Imohanobe.

According to the statement, “the seven-member committee is expected to conduct the Primary Election to elect the Party’s Candidate for the Governorship Election for Anambra State in line with the provisions of our Party’s Constitution and Guidelines for the nomination of Candidates.”
