The Alaigbo Politics And Leadership Awareness Forum (APLAF) has commended
all the southern governors that have signed the anti-open grazing law in their respective states, saying that the development was a good step in the right direction.

The group in a statement also admonished Anambra and Ebonyi States governors, who are yet to sign the anti-open grazing bill into law; and therefore demand them to do sign it into law within the next 30-days without further hesitation.

According to the group, going against the people’s wishes will lead to heavy consequences (loss of lives and
properties).

“Once again, APLAF joins hands with other Igbo socio-cultural groups to caution Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma over his anti-Southern and pro-Northern stands,” the statement read further.

“Gov. Hope Uzodinma should remember that he is from the Southeast and currently the governor of Imo state – as such should work in the best interests of Imolites, south-easterners, and the collective good of southern Nigerians; rather than serving the northern interests as he is currently doing,
through his actions and inactions (rhetorics)”.
