Another Catholic priest, Rev. Fr. Christopher Odia of the Catholic Diocese of Auchi has been found dead hours after he was abducted by gunmen.
Fr. Odia was kidnapped on Sunday morning at Ikabigbo community of Etsako West Local Government Area before mass and was found dead five hours later.
Fellow Catholic Priest, Fr Kelvin Ugwu confirmed the killing in a post on his verified Facebook page on Sunday night.
He wrote, “Sad News: The priest of Auchi diocese, Rev Fr Christopher Osia, that was kidnapped this morning the 26th of June 2022 on his way to mass has been killed”.
His killing comes barely 24 hours after another Catholic priest Rev. Fr. Vitus Borogo, was killed on Saturday at Prison Farm in Kujama, along Kaduna-Kachia Road, after a raid on the farm by Terrorists.
Borogo until his death was the Chaplain of the Catholic Community of the Kaduna State Polytechnic.
