Unknown gunmen in the early hours of Monday attacked Ezza community in Ohaukwu Local Government Ebonyi State, burning many houses.
According to sources, the attack was a reprisal to another attack on Nwekendiagu village in Effium on Thursday.
At least five persons were killed in the Monday attack while tens of others were injured.
The crises which began in January was a fallout of struggle for control of park revenue from two factions of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW.
The attack on Nwekendiagu resulted in the death of 15 persons
