Yemi Alade, a Nigerian Afro-pop sensation on Wednesday condemned President Muhammadu Buhari for his genocidal threats against the people of South East.
Buhari had on Tuesday while reacting to attacks by hoodlums in the region, reminded the region of his role in the 30 months of genocidal civil war which claimed the lives of 3 million people, especially women and children.
He said he would “talk to them in the language they understand”
Buhari’s insensitive comment has sparked torrents of criticism in the country, while internet users called on Twitter to suspend the president’s account.
Alade in her reaction asked the President to focus more on the people who are suffering.
She said that Buhari and other soldiers who fought in the civil war need therapy.
“I think all. parents and soldiers that experienced the civil war need therapy! Everything is not a fight! Everything na threat instead of tactical and knowledgeable advice”
She said that such a statement should not come from the number one man in the country.
