Senator Andy Uba, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress says the APC world win the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State, without manipulating the process.
Uba addressed his supporters and party members at Ekwulobia, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State at a reception organised to receive him from Abuja after President Muhammadu Buhari presented him the party’s flag.
Uba said: “We are here to appeal to the people of Anambra State for their support. We are here to assure you that we will not take it by force. We are calling for your support. The APC is the party to beat in this election.
“With me here are members House of Assembly from APGA (All Progressives Grand Alliance), who recently decamped to the APC. You will hear from all of them. They are here because the chicken (symbol of APGA) has died. They will work with us to win the election.”
Uba later introduced the six lawmakers; Hon. Nonso Okafor representing Nnewi North; Hon. Timothy Ifedioramma representing Njikoka 1; Hon. Cater D. N Umeoduagu representing Aguata 1; Hon. Lawrence Ezeudu representing Dunukofia; Hon. Arthur Chiekwu representing Idemili North and Hon. Edward Ibuzo, representing Onisha North 2.
Earlier in Awka, where party faithful received him from the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu, Uba noted that APC was set to liberate Anambra. He said once the state “is connected to the centre through an APC victory, the state would instantly be liberated.
“That is the benefit of being connected to the centre. The minister is on his way now to Anambra. This failed portion that is causing the traffic on this road would be fixed.
“Anambra will be liberated. In fact, Anambra is already liberated. The day the president gave me the flag of our party is the day Anambra was liberated.
“My party members, you have seen what God can do. We are calling on all to join hands with us to remove APGA and fix Anambra,” Uba said.
