Wike made life hard for Rivers people – Amaechi

Amaechi to Wike: I don't drink alcohol, I don't speak carelessly

Former Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Rotimi Amaechi has urged the people of Rivers State to vote massively for the All Progressives Congress ( APC) in the 2023 general elections, saying the people will enjoy the good things as it was between 2007 to 2015.

The former Rivers State Governor made the statement while addressing the people at the APC Rivers State Ward campaign in Emohua Local Government Area.

Amaechi asked the people to compare how life was when he was Governor of Rivers from 2007 to 2015 and from 2015 to 2022 when Governor Nyesom Wike was in charge.

He asked them to give an honest response on which was better.

‘Compare the government in Rivers between 2007 to 2015 and 2015 to present; which one is better? If life was better between 2007 to 2015, the reason why life is hard because that the government is bad. When we were in government, we realised that you had challenges in medicals; we built health centres. We built schools when we realised that your children need to go to school. We realised that you didn’t have money to pay school fees; we paid school fees.’

‘These people came but put the money in their pockets instead of serving you. Be rest assured that if we win, we will serve you.’

‘But most importantly, don’t just sit here. Go and get people out of their houses to vote for APC. You must go out there and sell our programmes to the Rivers people, and we will win the election.’ he assured the people.
