Asari Dokubo, a former Niger Delta agitator has described the Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike as a ‘nobody’, saying that if his people stand up, the governor will run.
Speaking at a meeting with Ogoni Liberation Initiative and Kalabari Unity Forum, Dokubo said the governor has insulted everything they held dear.
Others who attended the meeting include another ex-agitator and a critic of governor Wike, Sobomabo Jackrich.
The theme of the meeting was how the riverine areas would produce a governor of the state come 2023.
According to Dokubo, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Dokubo said the riverine areas will not beg to produce the next governor of the state, stressing that they are ready to take power.
He said: “You don’t go and beg. Wike is nobody. If we’re ready to stand up, he will run. I have no preferred candidate”
He said the meeting with Ogonis is a very good initiative, adding that Ogonis are the most marginalized people in Rivers State.
“2023, this power, we will take it by the grace of God. Everybody should be prepared, whether federal might, state might, local government might. When the time comes, the happen will surely happen.
“Wike told us ntoorr and I decided to sell everything I have in Port Harcourt. I parked out of Port Harcourt. I said I will not live and sleep in Port Harcourt again. I came back to my home, made my small place comfortable so I can sleep in.

“The ntoorr Wike told us, we will give it to him. Wike has insulted everything sacred to us as Kalabari people. Kalabari people were sitting down and Wike insulted our father, he insulted the Amakrees and I told him, that is the line you will cross.
“From that day, the kingdom was taken from him. When I am going to war, I pre-inform the enemy of my coming. We know that Wike has all the money of Rivers State, he does whatever he wants with it. I’m not fighting Wike because he is an Ikwerre man. I’m an Elibrada man. I won’t deny that I’m Ikwerre simply because Wike is mad. Because even in Kalabari, we have mad people.
Any Ikwere man who sees the madness of Wike and supports him, he will be blamed when Wike stones people and the people are retaliating and the stone goes and hit them. If Wike is not mad, how can he be building eight flyovers on one road? No economic value. How many of us can buy a car now?
“Julius Berger from Germany will collect our money and repatriate it back to their country. This is neocolonialism. People do not know the implications of the wickedness of Wike.
“We’re matching on this battle. Nobody in Ikwerre that is not eating Wike’s money is living as comfortable as I am living. Outside, Obio/Akpor, no other place is developed in Ikwerre land. This sick man is deceiving people.
“People are begging that Wike should give us governorship. Even if he gives us governorship, we will not accept it. We will take it from him by force. We will meet him man to man when the day comes. I will be alive to see the fall of Nebuchadnezzar”.
