The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB has denied any plans to attack the founder of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazurike.
IPOB also described Uwazurike as a fly and an attention-seeker.
Emma Powerful, media and publicity secretary of IPOB in a statement on Thursday described the allegation that IPOB was planning an attack on the MASSOB leader as fallacious.
IPOB said it had no time for such “a fly at a time like this”.
The group said: “The attention of the global movement of IPOB has been drawn to the ranting, and fallacious statement credited to Ralph Uwazuruike and his infamous BIM/MASSOB group.
“Accusing IPOB of planning to attack Uwazuruike is a barefaced lie from the pit of hell. IPOB cannot condescend so low as to attack him because we have no issues with him.
“IPOB under the command and leadership of our great leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has no plans whatsoever to attack Uwazurike or anybody.
“Ralph Uwazuruike should understand that IPOB led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is too busy and preoccupied with the Biafra project to be looking for a fly like him.”
