Unknown gunmen have killed three policemen and two others in the Eke-Agu community of Abatete in Idemili North Local government area of Anambra state.
Standardobservers gathered that the gunmen numbering over 20 stormed the community in highlander SUVs and Sienna cars on Tuesday night, shooting sporadically.
Three vehicles were also set ablaze by the gunmen while one unidentified young man from Uke was abducted after several shots fired at him ‘failed to penetrate.’
He was dumped in the trunk of the vehicle and whisked away to an unknown destination.
The state police command is yet to comment on the incident.
