Uba urges Senate to checkmate 'unjustifiable' fees charged by shipping companies


Ifeanyi Ubah, the Senator representing Anambra South and Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the District’s 2023 Senatorial Election, has called for more support for the development of Igbo land.

Senator Ubah made the call on Sunday during the 2022 Anambra day celebration organized by Anambra United Forum (AUF), Birmingham at Holy Trinity Church in Birchfield Road, Birmingham United Kingdom.

He said that Alaigbo especially Anambra needs the support of all citizens including those in the diaspora for sustainable development.

Senator Ubah also appreciated ndị Anambra in the United Kingdom for mapping out a day to celebrate the state with their families and urged them to support the state’s development by investing in projects that will employ citizens and boost the state’s internally generated revenue.

The Anambra South Senator also used the opportunity to highlight his efforts at the upper chamber of the Nigerian National Assembly in attracting quality policies and programmes to his constituency and state in general and reassured ndị Anambra in the Diaspora that he will continue to support their welfare through the instrumentality of his office. He further urged them to always promote Igbo culture, norms and values.

Kanayo Ohuchalu, the Forum’s Chairman reassured of their continuous support in the development of Anambra State and Alaigbo in general.
