Two All Progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial candidates have emerged from parallel primary elections in Ebonyi State.
The governor Dave Umahi’s faction conducted its primary at Pa Ngele Oruta Township Stadium, Abakaliki while Engr. Elias Mbam Nwelem led faction conducted theirs at his campaign organization office Mile 50, Old Enugu Road opposite NEPA junction Abakaliki.
Other factions led by Edward Nkwegu and Sen. Julius Ali Ucha are conducting theirs at different locations.
While Francis Ogbonnaya Nwifuru, the speaker of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly emerged the winner of the Umahi’s faction with 743 votes, Elias Mbam Nwelem emerged the winner of his faction with 800 votes.
